Your master switch (only you, in this admin panel; users can never turn ads off). Off = no ads anywhere, even paid ones.

Each ad (or “Advertise here” when no ad is booked) shows at the top of the map for this many seconds, then leaves by itself and stays away for the minutes above. People cannot close or switch off ads. 20 seconds and 10 minutes are clean, professional defaults.

Accept test purchases

Keep this on until Apple and Google have approved the app (their reviewers pay with test money). Turn it off after launch so nobody can use free test payments.

Switch features on or off for everyone, in the phone app and on the website. Changes apply within a minute (when people reopen the app).

Popularity score ✦

Shows a small 1–10 score from waves and chats received (never from photos). Off = no score anywhere, not used for sorting or the Smart list.

Lets people answer a few questions and sort others into “My list” and “Others”.

Waves 👋

Lets people wave without writing a message, with a notification.

Profile extras

Up to 3 more photos, interests and “About me” answers in Edit profile.

Marketplace 🏷️

The Market tab where people buy and sell (free, 30 days per listing). Off = tab hidden in the app and on the website.

“typing…” and “Seen” in chats

Shows when the other person is typing and when they have read your message.

System check

Tests the real, live app and website end to end: two temporary test people (“ZZ System Check”) sign up, find each other on the map, chat live, report and block, and are then deleted. Takes about 30 seconds. Safe to run any time.

How to…

Handle a report: Reports tab. Look at the photo, bio and reason. If it breaks the rules, tap Hide. If it is serious (a minor, threats, selling sex, scams), tap Delete. If it is fine, tap Dismiss.

Verify someone: Selfies tab. Same person + correct pose = Approve. Otherwise Reject (they can try again).

Review an event: Events tab → Waiting for review. Real event, public place, legal, no sexual content → Approve. Otherwise type a short reason and Reject.

Ad bought in the app: Ads tab → Ad requests. Real business and decent text → Approve. The contact they left is only for you.

Sell an ad: agree a price with a local business (for example USD 10–30 a month), get paid, then Ads tab → fill in → Save. Turn it off or let the end date pass when they stop paying.

Add another admin: Supabase → Authentication → Add user (email + password), then in SQL Editor: insert into admins (user_id) select id from auth.users where email = 'their@email.com';
